About the Event
Thad Wilson is a highly regarded and in-demand trumpeter on the DC scene. On Saturday he will perform with an A-list ensemble of musicians who are each bandleaders in their own right – Federico Pena on piano, Michael Bowie on bass and Lenny Robinson on drums.
Over his career, Thad has performed alongside James Moody, Benny Golson, Steve Turre, Cecil Bridgewater, Andrew White, Buck Hill, Keter Betts, Johnny O’Neal, Russell Malone, Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis and many others. He currently tours with the legendary Blackbyrds group and composes and performs his live film scores all over the world.
