Joshua Jenkins Group

With great versatility, explosive energy and a passion for the great jazz artists of Latin America and the African diaspora, rising star Joshua Jenkins has played piano since he was seven years old, and began performing in public at the age of twelve. An alum of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, he holds a Bachelor’s of Music from Temple University, where he studied classical piano performance. While in Philadelphia, he gave solo classical and chamber recitals and performed in jazz ensembles around the city. Joshua was the Jazz Ensemble Director of the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts and is a graduate of the Strathmore Artist in Residence program. Since 2023, Joshua has been the keyboardist for Downtown Tumbao, a top Latin jazz ensemble. You can find him every Friday evening with this group performing at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore.
