About the Event
We are celebrating Steve Novosel tonight! Steve has a distinguished 60-plus year career as a jazz bassist in the DC area. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, he moved to DC to join the US Army Band. He has played with a long list of jazz greats over the span of his career. Drummer Tony Martucci and saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed have both played often with Steve and are presenting an evening of songs that Steve has recorded and loves. Joining Tony and Elijah will be Victor Haskins on cornet, Harry Appelman on keyboard and Ben Thomas on bass. Steve will be in attendance. Come enjoy the music and say hello to Steve!
Doors open: 6:30 pm
Show 7 pm
Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 day of show
